PavLove is built so that your data stays on your own devices. There is no PavLove account, no PavLove server, and nothing is uploaded to us.
What PavLove stores
PavLove keeps the following on your iPhone and Apple Watch:
- Your body measurements and daily calorie target, used only to calculate your budget
- A record of detected hand-to-mouth moments, with the date and time each occurred
- A daily history of calories eaten, calories burned, and whether you finished inside your budget
- Short recordings of wrist motion around detections, used to improve how accurately PavLove recognises eating
- Your answers to the brief wellbeing questions shown before calorie features are enabled
Health data
With your permission, PavLove reads the calories you have logged and the energy you have burned from Apple Health. This is used only to work out how much of your daily budget remains. PavLove does not write your food or exercise data anywhere, and does not share it.
You can withdraw this permission at any time in the Health app, under your profile, in Apps.
Where your data goes
Nowhere, unless you choose to send it. If iCloud Drive is turned on, PavLove copies your motion recordings into your own iCloud so they are available on your other devices — that is your iCloud account, not ours, and we cannot see it. If you use the export or share options, the data goes wherever you send it.
We receive no copy of any of it.
Analytics and advertising
PavLove contains no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. We do not know who you are or whether you use the app.
Deleting your data
Deleting PavLove from your iPhone removes everything it has stored. Recordings copied to iCloud Drive can be deleted in the Files app.
Children
PavLove is not intended for children. Calorie features are unavailable to anyone under 18.
Not medical advice
PavLove is a habit-awareness tool, not a medical device, and is not a substitute for professional care. It is not intended for anyone with, or recovering from, an eating disorder.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
